Is it wise to rent out your property to pay the mortgage?

Moss & Co acted for a landlord who finding themselves in financial difficulties let out their home to cover the mortgage. This is a common occurrence in these difficult times and there are many such “accidental landlords”.  Unfortunately the tenant stopped paying the rent and the landlord wanted their home back as soon as possible. Moss & Co were able to take the landlord through all the legal steps to  get their property back.  This included protecting the deposit, serving the notices and issuing the proceedings  to get  a possession order. Which was then served upon the Defendant and enforced by way of bailiff’s warrant.
