Newly Qualified Criminal Defence Solicitor

About the Job:

Moss & Co are an East London Solicitors firm looking for a newly qualified solicitor to join their

friendly and committed criminal team. You will have been trained in criminal law and keen to

develop your advocacy and case preparation skills.

Work will include criminal defence representation for the full range of cases working

with experienced practitioner and partner Gil Spurling. You will attend the

magistrates court to represent defendants in both adjournment hearings and trials.

You will in addition have a Crown Court case-load appropriate to your skill level. You

will undertake training to be a duty solicitor. You will be expected to attend the office

five days a week unless at court.

Full practising certificate.

Experience of criminal litigation.

Good academic qualifications (minimum 2:1).

Full Police Station accreditation.

Ideally London based.

Full commitment to a career in criminal defence.

You will be part a of a tight, long-established and high-quality criminal defence team.

You will benefit from close supervision and a well-managed work environment. Your

salary will be commensurate with your experience and aptitude starting in the region

of £32.000 and rising sharply on qualification as a duty solicitor.
